Teens

Adolescence is a time of self discovery; an incredible journey from the land of childhood wonder to the embodiment of life as an adult.  Along the way, feelings of self-doubt, anxiety, confusion, depression, awkwardness and loneliness can make it difficult to navigate ones way through the new terrain.  It can be a confusing time for both parents and teens, full of new behaviors and emotions, as they adapt to life in middle and high schools.

I provide an inclusive and non-judgemental space to help teens explore their developing identity.  I work in a developmentally and culturally  conscious way to help them foster insight, learn coping skills and build tools for communication with parents, teachers and peers.

Through the framework of interactive and engaging psychotherapy, neuroscience, and art therapy I help teens to develop skills in thinking, observing , and negotiating with the world around them.  A natural outgrowth of this work is the ability to connect with one's passions, talents, resources, and family.

"Once the realization is accepted that even between the closest of human beings infinite distances continue to exist, a wonderful living side by side can grow up, if they succeed in loving the distance between them which makes it possible for each to see the other whole against the sky."
-Rainer Maria Rilke
