About Patricia

I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from San Francisco State University in 1995 with an emphasis in Counseling and Psychology.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies with a focus on Buddhist Studies from the University of California at Berkeley.

A licensed clinical social worker (LSCW) since 1997, I have worked in private practice  in Fairfax, Cotati and Petaluma, CA; Atlanta, GA and Portland, OR. I have trained in multiple modalities through my work in Family Service Agencies, Schools, Hospice, Community Mental Health , Residential Treatment and Wilderness Programs.

I have advanced training in EMDR, Mindfulness therapy, neuroscience, sand tray therapy, CBT, Brainspotting, child centered play therapy and couple's therapy.  Working from a depth perspective, I believe that healing is based on discovering and connecting with one's authentic self.   I'm inspired by my own life experiences of self-exploration, parenting, creativity, spirituality, grief and loss; as well as the therapeutic perspectives of Carl Jung, developmental psychology, integral and humanistic psychology and integral psychotherapy.  I emphasize respect and compassion, engaging with my clients interactively to support healing and growth.

Together, as therapist and client, we explore both the unique and personal intra-psychic journey which influences the way one interacts with the world, as well as the cultural, racial and social influences which define and shape one's life experiences.

The journey between what you once were and who you are now becoming is where

the dance of life really takes place.
